Under streams of torrential rain the celebration unfolded in honour of the final Skylab mission launch, a moment etched in the annals of space history.

Estimated 70 guests enjoyed the momentous gathering at the exclusive IMAX Theatre.

Astronauts Jack Lousma and Rusty Schweickart paid tribute to Skylab and the legendary mission of SL-04 while introducing the film together with Dwight and Herb Baker, the film publicist and a former NASA senior manager.

The highlight of the evening was the opportunity to engage with both astronauts, adding a touch of stardust to the memorable occasion.
